A four-second sample cost me ninety percent of the song

The sample lasted four seconds and sat under a bridge. Clearance came back at ninety percent of publishing and fifty of the master, on a take-it-or-lose-the-release basis, two weeks before the date.

We took it, because the campaign was booked. That song has since paid for somebody's summer, and it was not mine.
